BoxJump

BoxJump is a small 2.5D working prototype made in order to put into practice and question established 2D platformer game conventions. The game is made up of 2 sections, one that showcases and reinforces said conventions, and a second section that flips the visual-based mechanics on their head to subvert player expectations. The Player takes the role of a small slime inside of a box that’s attempting to reach the highest point they can, in this journey, the player experiences various established mechanics as well as their subverted counterparts.
